Description
Inter-crown insulation flax-jute consists of natural flax and jute fibers and is used for laying between the crowns of walls made of timber and logs. The structure of the flax-jute insulation: 50% flax and 50% jute (percentages may differ for each manufacturer), does not contain foreign components, and has a density of 700 g / sq.m.
The inter-crown insulation flax-jute combines the best qualities of flax and jute insulation, achieving the most effective ratio of the elasticity of flax and the coarseness and fragility of jute fibers. It can be said that the coarse fibers of jute in this structure perform the function of the frame, and the soft flax serves as its filler.
The inter-crown insulation flax-jute has a lighter shade, is elastic, and has a high lignin content, due to which, when shrinking, the insulation fibers stick together. The lignin content also prevents the proliferation of harmful microorganisms. Long service life and prevention of wood decay are also distinctive qualities of the material. The width of the insulation tape can be different, which allows you to choose the most suitable insulation for a log house, taking into account the diameter of the logs or the width of the beam.
If we compare the thermal insulation properties of flax inter-crown insulation, jute inter-crown insulation and flax-jute inter-crown insulation, we cannot find any significant difference between them. When choosing inter-crown insulation for a wooden house, it is essential to pay attention to the physical properties of the insulation, such as thickness and density: thick strips of insulation (1 cm) do not allow the logs to fit tightly together, and high density of the insulation (900 g / sq.m. and higher) does not allow it to shrink to the required dimensions. Regardless of the material from which the house is built: profiled timber or rounded logs, the material consumption remains economical since it is enough to lay the insulation in one layer to prevent heat loss and protect the house from blowing.
- It can be said that the inter-crown insulation flax-jute serves as an answer to the questions:
- “Which is better: flax or jute?”
- “Which insulation is better to use for insulating a wooden house: flax or jute?”
- “Does inter-crown insulation made of flax or jute perform its thermal insulation functions better?”
After laying the inter-crown insulation, you can decorate the inter-crown seams of the house walls with linen or jute rope.
The section on inter-crown insulation also discusses other types of insulation for sealing gaps.
